Beloved is couples-only and small, about 110 suites, so the whole resort already feels private. A proposal there is less about hiding from crowds and more about choosing between two kinds of intimate: your own casita, or a quiet stretch of calm beach. Here is how we plan both.

The Casita Proposal
Many casitas at Beloved have private pools, and two-storey casitas add a rooftop plunge pool. A proposal there is completely private: the resort, or a decorator booked through it, sets candles, flowers or floating petals while you are at dinner, and our photographer is let in a few minutes before you return. You open the door, or walk up to the roof, and the moment happens with nobody else around.
Two details matter. Light: after sunset the casita relies on candles and lanterns, so ask for warm lanterns or string lights rather than dozens of tiny tea lights, which photograph as dots. And timing: we agree a message you send when you leave dinner, so the photographer is in position and the candles are lit.
The Beach Proposal
If you want the sea in the photograph, walk to the water's edge in the last half hour before sunset. The beach in front of Playa Mujeres is calm and shallow, Isla Mujeres sits on the horizon, and the light is soft and even because the sun sets behind the resort. We mark a spot in advance and the photographer waits on a lounger with a long lens.

On the beach, plan the question for about 25 minutes before sunset. In the casita, any time after dark works, but a proposal just after sunset still has a little blue in the sky. For a sunrise proposal, the sun rises from behind Isla Mujeres for most of the year, from about August to May.

Access and After the Yes
The photographer comes in as your invited guest: the name goes on your reservation and Beloved's 18-and-over rule applies, which our photographers meet. A short private session for a staying guest is very seldom charged the outside vendor fee used for weddings, but we confirm the current policy with the resort in writing.
After the yes we take 20 to 40 minutes of portraits, in the casita and, if the light allows, on the beach. Proposal coverage: Spark, 245 USD for 35 minutes and 15 photos; Glow Hour, 325 USD for 45 minutes and 25 photos; Essential Flow, 395 USD for 60 minutes and 35 photos.
