We take our time.

We chase the hour.

We work in silence.

Three-day delivery.

The session in ninety minutes

First hello to last light.

  1. 16:30

    First steps.

We meet, you breathe. A walk to set the rhythm. No instructions yet.

  2. 17:00

    The stroll.

We walk while you talk. The two of you in motion. The camera disappears.

  3. 17:30

    Quiet portraits.

Sitting, hands, eyes. Editorial close-ups in soft side light. Slow and considered.

  4. 18:00

    Golden hour.

Twenty minutes of the right light. The frames we plan the whole session around.

  5. 18:30

    Last light.

Sand, sky, silence. We close on the horizon while the day forgets itself.

The Studio

Two people, carefully held.

Two people, one light. The studio listens for the moment one of you laughs at the other. That is the frame the studio makes.

The hour is built around the two of you. The light is shaped backward from sunset. Direction is quiet, never posed; the studio leaves the choreography to the day and steps in to compose, to soften, to ask one of you to look back across the sand. Couples are not poses. They are the seven seconds between two glances.

The studio accepts a limited number of couples each month so the studio's attention never thins. Across three coastlines, at the resorts the planners trust most, the work proceeds in one register: calm, considered, golden-hour first. Honeymoon, anniversary, proposal. The same standard, the same care, the same delivery promise of first frames inside seventy-two hours and the full gallery inside three weeks.

Vianey Diaz, who directs the studio.

Light.

The studio does not photograph couples at noon, indoors under tungsten, or against the white-on-white midday glare of a beach in March. The hour is built backward from sunset, ninety minutes the right side of the horizon. The studio knows which Cabo arch turns honey at 5:42 in November and which Mayakoba boardwalk softens at 6:18 in March. The light is the first appointment on the calendar; everything else is scheduled around it.

Direction.

The studio never says "look at the camera and smile." The studio says "walk back toward the water," "tell each other the thing you said in the cab," "stay where you are for a moment longer." The frame is composed, the couple is themselves. You will look like the two of you. Composed, not posed. The day will look like itself. Pinterest stays in the inbox.

Discretion.

For honeymoon and anniversary couples, the studio works with one camera and a quiet pace; the resort barely notices. For proposals, the studio is invisible: ninety minutes early, in plainclothes, at the table you cannot see, no frame taken until the kneel. The restaurant is briefed in advance, the hotel concierge is looped in by the studio, and the partner being proposed to remains unaware. Discretion is a discipline, not a personality.

Every session is shot the way I would shoot my own honeymoon. One signature tone across the gallery, one director on the day, one studio answering email from the first inquiry to the final archive. The standard does not change between a one-hour beach walk and a three-day private retreat.

We do not pose couples. We follow them.

Each archive is delivered in a hand-numbered linen box: proof prints, a USB, and a hand-bound book pressed in Mexico City.

Recent Work

Four couples, four rooms.

Engaged couple at sunrise on Playa Delfines, Cancun — March 2026 session by IVAE Studios.
Cancún Beach · Playa Delfines · March 2026

They had been engaged six weeks. We met them at six in the morning before the resort woke. She had brought her grandmother's earrings; he had not slept.

Honeymoon couple at Pedregal, Cabo San Lucas — November 2025 editorial session by IVAE Studios.
Cabo San Lucas · Pedregal · November 2025

A honeymoon after fifteen years and two children. They asked if we could photograph them the way we would have if they had been twenty-three. Yes.

Anniversary couple at an Akumal cenote — October 2025 session by IVAE Studios.
Akumal · Cenote · October 2025

Anniversary number seven. The cenote was empty at noon. He swam in his suit. She let him.

Couple on a Cancun Hotel Zone terrace at blue hour — February 2026 session by IVAE Studios.
Cancún Hotel Zone · Terrace, blue hour · February 2026

The last block of the session, after dinner. She put her shoes back on. They walked the terrace. It is the frame they print large.

The photo shoot was absolutely flawless. We enjoyed our time with the photographers and they made us feel so at ease and comfortable. The turn around time for edited photos was so fast.

Oh my goodness, if you are in the area IVAE Studios is the most amazing. We had so much fun at our photoshoot. We are somewhat awkward in front of the camera, but Vianey did excellent posing us and making us feel comfortable.

I cannot recommend IVAE Studios enough. From the initial contact until the photos were delivered the communication and customer service was outstanding. My husband and I visited Cancun for our 10 year anniversary and wanted some photos.

Where the studio works

Three coastlines, one studio.

From the Caribbean to the Pacific, the editorial discipline travels with the studio.

Worldwide. By private commission.

Based in the Riviera Maya. Available wherever you are in love.

IVAE Studios photographs and films couples from a base in Cancún and the Riviera Maya, and we travel for the couples we serve. Tell us where you are headed and we build the session around it.

We welcome discerning couples traveling from New York, Miami, Toronto, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Europe to Mexico's luxury resorts for the honeymoon, the anniversary, and the quiet escape, and we are available worldwide for the chapters that follow. Coverage is offered by private commission, so one studio carries every chapter from the first inquiry to the final archive.

Welcoming couples from New York, Miami, Toronto, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and across Europe.

Discretion, by default

A private studio and a quiet presence that protect your time together, on the resort grounds and beyond.

No. 02

A calm editorial presence

The studio stays unhurried and close, reading the light and the mood and stepping in only where the moment asks for us.

No. 03

Photo and film, one team

When film is added it shares a single creative direction with the photography, so the two of you are told in one voice.

Full destination coverage

The arrival, the golden-hour session, and the slow morning after, planned around the destination and its light.

Within the studio we look after the honeymoon and the anniversary as well, planned with the pace understood in advance. To discuss a session in Mexico or abroad, begin a conversation with the Director.

Considered Questions

The questions clients ask most often.

Most couples sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, which is enough time for two locations and an outfit change at an unhurried pace. Honeymoon and engagement clients often choose the 90 minute sunrise plus sunset format. Cenote and multi-resort coverage can extend to a half day on request.

A 60 minute session delivers roughly 40 to 60 fully edited, high resolution images, and a 90 minute session 70 to 100. Every frame is hand retouched for color, skin, and light. You receive a private 4K gallery with unlimited downloads and a print release, never watermarked proofs.

November through April brings the clearest skies, calmest water, and the least sargassum seaweed. Peak sargassum runs May to October on east facing beaches. We plan around it by shooting west facing coastlines, cenotes, rooftops, and resort gardens, so your honeymoon or anniversary photos stay pristine year round.

Choose neutral and earth tones: whites, creams, soft beiges, sage greens, and muted blues. Flowing fabrics like linen, silk, and chiffon move beautifully in the breeze. Coordinate rather than match, one partner in white and the other in cream or tan. Avoid logos, neon, and busy patterns. Every booked couple receives a detailed style guide.

Signature spots include Playa Delfines and the Cancun hotel zone, Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres, the Mayakoba lagoons and jungle, the cenotes of Tulum and the Riviera Maya, and the Arch and Lovers Beach in Los Cabos. We also photograph privately at your own resort beach and terrace.

Yes. Surprise proposals are a specialty. We coordinate discreetly with restaurants, concierges, and private venues, scout the reveal angle in advance, and photograph hidden from a distance so the moment stays a secret. Right after the yes we flow into a full celebratory couples session while the emotion is still fresh.

They share the same editorial direction but a different mood. Engagement sessions celebrate the proposal and often supply save the date images. Honeymoon sessions are relaxed and romantic during your first trip as newlyweds. Anniversary sessions mark a milestone year and frequently recreate favorite memories from the wedding or first visit.

Yes. Short cinematic couple films and reels can be added to most sessions, capturing motion, ambient sound, and the small gestures that stills cannot. Video is arranged on request and quoted alongside your photography proposal so the two formats are directed together for one cohesive story.

Absolutely. We photograph at resorts across Cancun, Playa Mujeres, the Riviera Maya, Tulum, and Los Cabos, and we travel to Mexico City and beyond for destination commissions. Local travel within the Cancun and Riviera Maya corridor is included; sessions in Los Cabos or farther carry a transparent travel fee in your proposal.

Send an inquiry with your dates, resort, and the kind of session you have in mind. We reply within one business day with availability and a tailored proposal. A signed agreement and retainer secure your date. We then share a planning guide covering wardrobe, timing, and locations before the shoot.

A teaser of around fifteen frames arrives within seven days, ideal for sharing while you are still traveling. The complete edited gallery is delivered within three weeks. Every delivery window is written into your agreement, and rush delivery can be arranged when you need images sooner.

Each session is quoted to brief based on length, locations, travel, and whether you add video or multi day coverage. Couples photography generally ranges from 750 to 1500 USD. Every quote includes bilingual direction, golden hour timing, a private 4K gallery, unlimited downloads, and a print release.
