Minimal Frames
At Nobu the architecture is quiet on purpose, and the best photographs follow it: a couple against a plain wall in warm light, long lines of timber, the Pacific as a band of silver at the end of the frame. On the beach, the waves add motion and spray, and the sun goes down right in front of you. We photograph from the sand and keep well back from the water, because this stretch of coast is dangerous for swimming.
Weddings
Nobu hosts weddings with dedicated venues, planning support and catering, including open-air terraces and a ballroom, with capacity listed for up to about 450 guests. A ceremony on a terrace facing the Pacific at golden hour, followed by dinner as the sky darkens, is the classic plan. Confirm the current venues and vendor rules with the hotel.
Light and Times
Times for Diamante on the 15th of each month in 2027. Baja California Sur keeps Pacific time all year (UTC-7, no daylight saving), the same as Alberta in winter.

Plan the ceremony for roughly 90 minutes before sunset; the portraits then land in the softest light of the day. That is around 4:05 pm in December and 5:35 pm in June; for a session we meet about an hour before sunset, around 4:35 pm in December and 6:05 pm in June. On the Pacific side the sun drops straight into the ocean, so the last ten minutes before sunset are the strongest.
Access and Vendors
For a private session, register the photographer at the front desk as your guest, with the time of the session, a day or two ahead. Weddings are coordinated with the resort's wedding team, which sets the rules for outside vendors and any access fee; ask for them in writing before you sign.
