A resort built for weddings is full of good photo locations, and Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres is no exception: elevated gazebos and terraces with sea views, gardens and the beach. Here is how we plan a couples session there.

Where We Shoot

The Sky Wedding Gazebo and Terrace. When they are not booked, the elevated sites give the sea as a background and warm late light. Ask the front desk about availability at your time.

Sunrise or Sunset

Times for this beach on the 15th of each month in 2027.

Start about an hour before sunset and finish on the beach as the sea turns blue. Mornings have a bonus: from roughly November through January, the sun comes up from behind Isla Mujeres, across the water.

How the Photographer Gets In

Access is simple for guests of Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres. Put the photographer's name on your reservation at the front desk with the time of the session, and we meet you in the lobby. Resorts usually reserve their outside vendor fee for weddings, so a private session for a staying guest is very seldom charged, though we always confirm the current rule in writing first. Visitors who are not staying at the resort normally need a day pass; this guide explains how it works.
