Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres is an all-suite resort with a mix of couples and families. A photoshoot here moves from terraces and gardens to the beach as the light softens. Here is how we plan it.

Where We Shoot

The Sea Blue Terrace. When not booked, height and a sea view for the first frames.

The Garden Gazebo and the beach. Green shade for group portraits, then the shoreline for the last light.

Sunrise or Sunset

Times for this beach on the 15th of each month in 2027.

Start about an hour before sunset; with toddlers, sunrise is calmer. If you can face an early start, in December the sunrise appears from behind Isla Mujeres.

How the Photographer Gets In

If you are staying at Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres, the photographer comes in as your invited guest: give the front desk our name and the session time a day or two ahead, and we check in at the lobby. For a private session, a staying guest is very seldom asked for the outside vendor fee that resorts charge for weddings, but policies change, so we confirm it with the resort in writing before your date.
