Viceroy Los Cabos is the most architectural wedding setting in Los Cabos: white cantilevered towers by Miguel Ángel Aragonés rising from still reflecting pools on the beachfront of San José del Cabo. It photographs best in the last hour of light and again at blue hour, when the white walls and the water hold the color of the sky. Wedding coverage starts at 1,800 USD; plan the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset.
Most Los Cabos resorts sell the view. Viceroy sells the building, and the building is extraordinary: stark white volumes, long reflecting pools and the Sea of Cortez behind them. For a photographer that means clean lines, strong geometry and a wedding that looks like an editorial spread with very little styling. It also means the light has to be right, because white walls show every harsh shadow.

The resort sits on the beachfront of San José del Cabo, the quieter, older town of Los Cabos, a few minutes from its plaza, galleries and mission church. For Catholic couples, the resort's wedding team notes that the ceremony can be held at the church in downtown San José with the celebration back at the resort.
Photographing the Architecture
Viceroy's white towers and pools are the reason couples choose it, and we build the gallery around them. Symmetry works here: a couple centered between two volumes, reflected in the pool, with the sea as a strip of blue at the end. So does scale, with small figures against a large white wall. We save close portraits for the softer corners of the gardens and the beach.
Blue hour, the 20 minutes after sunset, is Viceroy's secret. The pools and the walls pick up the color of the sky and the lights of the resort, and a few frames then are often the most striking of the night.
Ceremony Settings
Viceroy's wedding team offers ceremonies on the beach and on the resort's terraces and lawns, with dinners by the water or around the pools. A private ceremony is tied to a minimum block of rooms that depends on the date and the size of the wedding, so ask for it in writing early. For photographs, a ceremony facing the sea with the architecture behind your guests gives both of Viceroy's looks in one frame.

Light and Ceremony Times
Times for Viceroy Los Cabos on the 15th of each month in 2027. Baja California Sur keeps Pacific time all year (UTC-7, no daylight saving), the same as Alberta in winter.

| September | 6:05 am | 5:53 pm | 6:22 pm |
| November | 6:32 am | 5:02 pm | 5:34 pm |
| December | 6:52 am | 5:03 pm | 5:36 pm |
We plan ceremonies to start about 90 minutes before sunset, so that family photos and portraits fall in the warm last light. At Viceroy that means a ceremony around 4:05 pm in December and 5:35 pm in June. The beach faces the Sea of Cortez to the south, so the sun goes down over the land to the west; the light on the white walls in that last hour is soft and warm rather than direct.
Outside Photographers
Like most luxury resorts in Los Cabos, Viceroy coordinates outside wedding vendors through its wedding or events manager, and some resorts here charge outside vendors an access fee. Ask for the current rule and any fee in writing before you sign. We send our insurance and paperwork to the resort ourselves and walk the property ahead of the day.

Coverage and Prices
IVAE Studios publishes its prices. Half-day coverage of up to four hours is 1,800 to 2,800 USD, enough for the ceremony, family photos, portraits and the start of the reception. A full day of eight to ten hours with a second photographer is 3,500 to 5,500 USD, and adding a wedding film brings it to 5,500 to 8,000 USD. Every gallery is edited and delivered in a private 4K gallery within one to three business days.
We are based in Cancún and travel to Los Cabos for weddings; travel is arranged as part of the coverage, and we arrive with time to scout. Sessions before or after the wedding, such as a welcome-dinner portrait or a day-after shoot, use our collections from 245 USD.
