Wedding Venues
The resort lists Azul Beach for ceremonies, cocktails and dinners with a minimum of about 50 guests, Velas 10 Beach for up to about 120, Azul Garden for smaller receptions and a ballroom for the largest celebrations and wind backups. Ask the wedding team for current capacities, venue fees and the policy for outside vendors in writing.
Portraits
Every suite looks at the sea, so getting-ready photos come with a view. After the ceremony we take family groups at the venue, then walk the couple to the sand and the terraces above the beach for the last light. The surf in front of the resort is strong, so we keep portraits at the waterline, not in the water.
Light and Times
Times for Grand Velas Los Cabos on the 15th of each month in 2027. Baja California Sur keeps Pacific time all year (UTC-7, no daylight saving), the same as Alberta in winter.

Plan the ceremony for roughly 90 minutes before sunset; the portraits then land in the softest light of the day. That is around 4:05 pm in December and 5:35 pm in June; for a session we meet about an hour before sunset, around 4:35 pm in December and 6:05 pm in June.
Access and Vendors
For a private session, register the photographer at the front desk as your guest, with the time of the session, a day or two ahead. Weddings are coordinated with the resort's wedding team, which sets the rules for outside vendors and any access fee; ask for them in writing before you sign.

Coverage and Prices
Our wedding prices are public. Up to four hours of coverage costs 1,800 to 2,800 USD; a full day of eight to ten hours with a second photographer is 3,500 to 5,500 USD; photography plus a wedding film is 5,500 to 8,000 USD. The resort's access charge for outside vendors is separate and paid to the hotel. Your edited gallery arrives within one to three business days.
We are based in Cancún and travel to Los Cabos for weddings; travel is arranged as part of the coverage, and we arrive with time to scout. Sessions before or after the wedding, such as a welcome-dinner portrait or a day-after shoot, use our collections from 245 USD.
