Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres is the family half of a large complex it shares with the adults-only TRS Coral. Couples planning family weddings often book their group here, with all events inside Grand Palladium, while the couple can stay at TRS Coral. Confirm the current ceremony venues with the resort; plan the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset.
Big family weddings need space, food for every age and something to keep children busy between events. The Palladium complex at Costa Mujeres was planned exactly for that, with a central village of restaurants, bars and kids' clubs shared by Grand Palladium and the adults-only TRS Coral. This guide covers how to plan the photography of a wedding there.

Venue names and capacities come from the resort's wedding listings and change with renovations and packages, so your coordinator's current sheet is the final word.
Where the Ceremony Happens
Wedding venues at Grand Palladium change with the resort's packages, so ask your coordinator for the current list before you decide. What we look for on any site here: a ceremony spot with the sea behind the couple and no pool in the frame, shade for older guests, and a short walk to the reception so the family photos do not eat the golden light.
The complex works well for mixed groups: couples planning a family wedding often place their guests in Grand Palladium, where children are welcome, with the wedding events held there. One practical detail from couples' planning pages: children under 17 cannot enter the adults-only TRS Coral, so keep every family event on the Grand Palladium side.

The beach faces east toward the channel and Isla Mujeres, so the sun sets behind the resort and the sand falls into soft, even light at the end of the day, with no glare in anyone's eyes. We plan ceremonies to start about 90 minutes before sunset, so that family photos and portraits fall in the warm last light. From roughly October through February the sun rises from behind Isla Mujeres, which makes a sunrise session here unusually striking.
Bringing Your Own Photographer
Expect Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres to charge outside wedding vendors for access. Resorts call it a vendor fee, an outside supplier fee or a day pass, and they revise it by season and wedding package, which is why we do not print a number here. The moment to negotiate it is before you sign your wedding package; afterwards coordinators have little room. Ask whether it is charged per vendor or per person, and get the answer by email. We handle the paperwork with your coordinator.
