Dreams Vista Cancún is close to the city, which makes it easy to fit a photoshoot into a short stay. The resort's rooftops and terraces add height to a beach session, and the calm water toward Isla Mujeres suits families with young children. Here is how we plan it.

Where We Shoot
The rooftops and terraces. When not booked for an event, the Oceanview Rooftop and the Grand Vista Terrace give views over the beach, the sea and the golf course. We start up there while the beach is still bright.

Start about an hour before sunset for couples and older children. With toddlers, sunrise is calmer and cooler. If you can face an early start, from roughly May through July the sunrise appears from behind Isla Mujeres.
How the Photographer Gets In
If you are staying at Dreams Vista Cancún, the photographer comes in as your invited guest: give the front desk our name and the session time a day or two ahead, and we check in at the lobby. For a private session, a staying guest is very seldom asked for the outside vendor fee that resorts charge for weddings, but policies change, so we confirm it with the resort in writing before your date.
