The most reliable months for a Los Cabos wedding are November through April: dry, sunny and mild, with whale season from about mid-December to mid-April. They are also peak season. May and June are hot and dry, and July through October bring heat, humidity and the Pacific hurricane season, which peaks August to October. Plan the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset: around 4:05 pm in December and 5:35 pm in June.
Los Cabos is a desert by the sea, which makes its calendar simpler than the Caribbean's: long, dry, sunny months, then a hot, humid stretch with storm risk. Here is how each part of the year feels on a wedding day, and how it photographs.
November to April
The classic Los Cabos wedding season. Days are dry and sunny, evenings cool, and the light is clear. From about mid-December to mid-April humpback whales pass along the coast, and on some days you can see them from the beach during the ceremony. This is also peak season, with the highest resort rates and the most competition for dates, so book venues and vendors early. Sunsets are earliest in late November and December, around 5:35 pm.

May and June
Hot and dry, with long days and late sunsets, around 7 pm by June. Fewer weddings and often better rates than winter. Plan the ceremony late, keep guests in the shade, and expect strong light in the middle of the day.
July to October
The hottest and most humid months, and the Eastern Pacific hurricane season, which runs from mid-May to the end of November and peaks from August to October. Many days are beautiful, and prices are lowest, but a storm can disrupt travel. If you choose these months, choose a resort with an indoor backup and buy travel insurance.

Choosing Your Date
- Avoid the busiest holiday weeks if you want more choice of venues and vendors.
- For whales in the background, choose January to March.
- For the warmest water and lowest rates, late spring; for the most reliable weather, November to April.
