Seadust Cancún is a family resort in the southern Hotel Zone built around children, with water play areas and a wide beach on the open Caribbean. Plan the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset and keep the last half hour of light for portraits.
Seadust Cancún sits in the southern Hotel Zone, near Playa Delfines and Punta Nizuc, and that location shapes a wedding more than any decoration: it decides where the sun is during your vows and what is behind you in every frame. This guide covers the ceremony options, the light and the questions to ask before you sign.

Venue names and capacities come from the resort's wedding listings and change with renovations and packages, so your coordinator's current sheet is the final word.
Where the Ceremony Happens
Seadust Cancún hosts weddings, and its wedding team will give you the current list of ceremony and reception spaces, which changes with renovations and packages. On this coast the best ceremony spot is almost always on the sand or on a raised terrace facing the sea, with the pools and loungers out of the frame.
When you see the options, ask three things: which way the aisle faces, where the sun will be at your ceremony time, and how far the reception is from the ceremony. Short walks keep family photos inside the golden light. Playa Delfines, the big public beach with the CANCÚN sign and high dunes, is close by for a second setting, and the El Rey archaeological site sits across the road from it.

The southern Hotel Zone faces east onto the open Caribbean, with the widest beaches of Cancún. The sun sets behind the hotel, so the sand gets soft, even light at the end of the day, while the Nichupté lagoon across the road catches the sunset over water. We plan ceremonies to start about 90 minutes before sunset, so that family photos and portraits fall in the warm last light.
Bringing Your Own Photographer
One budget line couples often miss: Seadust Cancún, like nearly every all-inclusive resort here, charges outside wedding vendors for access to the property. It may be a fixed vendor fee or a per-person day pass, and it changes with the season and the package tier. Ask for it in writing while your contract is still open, and ask whether a second photographer counts separately. Our comparison of resort and outside photographers helps you weigh it.
