Where We Shoot

The beach in front of Dos Playas Faranda. We start at the water's edge, away from loungers and pools, where the background is only sea and sky.

A second setting nearby. Public beaches along this shore, such as Playa Langosta and Playa Tortugas, have the same calm water if you want a second setting.

The Light, Month by Month

Times for this part of the coast on the 15th of each month in 2027. Quintana Roo keeps the same clock all year.

The bay is calm and shallow, ideal for children, and in summer the sun sets over the water to the west; in winter, the hour before sunset gives soft, even light on the sand.

Where We Meet You

We meet you at the lobby of Dos Playas Faranda. If the hotel's own beach is busy, we walk to the nearest public access: beaches in Mexico are public, so no pass is needed for the sand itself. For sessions on resort grounds, the photographer comes in as your guest, with the name given to the front desk in advance.
