Where the Ceremony Happens
We could not find a published list of Secrets Silversands' current wedding venues, so ask the wedding team for the options on your date. On this coast the strongest ceremony settings are the beach, with calm water and an open horizon, and any raised terrace that puts the sea behind you.
Ask which way the aisle faces, where the sun will be at your time and how far the reception is from the ceremony. Puerto Morelos town, with its famous leaning lighthouse and its pier, is a short drive away and makes a charming second setting.

The coast here faces east, and the Puerto Morelos reef, a protected national park a short distance offshore, breaks the waves, so the water near the beach is usually calm. Bringing Your Own Photographer
Bringing your own photographer to Secrets Silversands is allowed, with an access charge for outside wedding vendors that the resort sets by season and package. Because the number moves, the only figure that counts is the one in your own contract or in an email from your coordinator. Ask two questions: is it per vendor or per person, and does a higher wedding package include it? We register with the resort and send our documents ourselves.

Coverage and Prices
What does it cost? Half-day coverage, up to four hours, is 1,800 to 2,800 USD. The full day, eight to ten hours with two photographers, is 3,500 to 5,500 USD, the right choice for larger weddings.
