The beach, up to about 300 guests, is the star: wide sand and turquoise water. The Gazebo Terrace, about 80, is a thatched gazebo by the pool in a secluded, garden-surrounded corner, good for smaller ceremonies and cocktails. The ballroom and terraces, about 140 to 150, cover receptions and rain plans.

Punta Maroma's long beach faces east, so the sun rises over the sea and sets behind the resort, leaving the sand in soft, even light at the end of the day. A good rule here: start the ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset, and keep the final half hour of daylight for portraits.
Bringing Your Own Photographer
Expect Secrets Maroma Beach to charge outside wedding vendors for access. Resorts call it a vendor fee, an outside supplier fee or a day pass, and they revise it by season and wedding package, which is why we do not print a number here. The moment to negotiate it is before you sign your wedding package; afterwards coordinators have little room. Ask whether it is charged per vendor or per person, and get the answer by email. We handle the paperwork with your coordinator.

Coverage and Prices
IVAE Studios wedding coverage starts at 1,800 to 2,800 USD for up to four hours. A full day of eight to ten hours with a second photographer is 3,500 to 5,500 USD, and photography with a wedding film is 5,500 to 8,000 USD.
