Sakol K'aax is an inland retreat in the jungle west of Puerto Morelos, toward the Ruta de los Cenotes. The best nearby settings are the calm beach, the leaning lighthouse and the town pier. Sessions start at 245 USD.
Puerto Morelos is one of the most photogenic small towns on the coast: a calm beach behind the reef, a leaning lighthouse and a fishing pier. Here is how we plan a session for guests of Sakol K'aax.

Where We Shoot
The beach. Calm water behind the reef, quiet in the early morning and the last light.
The leaning lighthouse and the pier. Puerto Morelos town, with its famous leaning lighthouse and its pier, is a short drive away and makes a charming second setting.
Cenotes. Inland, the Ruta de los Cenotes starts just west of town, for couples who want a jungle and cenote session the next day.
The Light, Month by Month
Times for this part of the coast on the 15th of each month in 2027. Quintana Roo keeps the same clock all year.

| January | 7:28 am | 5:56 pm | 6:28 pm |
| March | 6:57 am | 6:28 pm | 6:58 pm |
| May | 6:11 am | 6:48 pm | 7:19 pm |

| November | 6:58 am | 5:36 pm | 6:07 pm |

The beach faces east: sunrise lifts out of the sea, and the hour before sunset gives soft, even light.
Where We Meet You
We meet you at Sakol K'aax or at an agreed point in town, often by the leaning lighthouse. Beaches in Mexico are public, so a session on the sand needs no resort pass.
Sessions in Cancún, Through Our Lens
Real IVAE Studios sessions on the Cancún coast. They show our work in the area, not necessarily at Sakol K'aax.
