Where We Shoot

The pyramids. Glass-roofed pyramids give graphic, architectural frames.

The lagoon side. For a sunset over the water, the lagoon-facing areas are the place.

The water's edge. We always finish at the shoreline, away from the pools and loungers, where the background is only sea and sky.

Nearby. Public beaches along this stretch, such as Playa Marlin and Playa Ballenas, offer wide sand if you want a second setting.

Sunrise or Sunset

Times for this beach on the 15th of each month in 2027.

The beach faces east: the hour before sunset gives soft, even light, and sunrise lifts straight out of the sea. For a sunset over water, the Nichupté lagoon is just across the boulevard.

How the Photographer Gets In

How does the photographer get in? As your guest. Tell the Paradisus Cancún front desk our name and the time of the session in advance, and we check in at the lobby like anyone meeting you for dinner. A short private session for a staying guest is very seldom charged the outside vendor fee used for weddings, and we confirm the current policy with the resort in writing. Non-guests should plan for a day pass, as our access guide explains.
