Where We Shoot

The shoreline. Calm, shallow water behind the reef for playing and walking into the sea.

Puerto Morelos town. Puerto Morelos town, with its famous leaning lighthouse and its pier, is a short drive away and makes a charming second setting.

Cenotes. Inland, the Ruta de los Cenotes starts just west of town, for couples who want a jungle and cenote session the next day.

Sunrise or Sunset

Times for this beach on the 15th of each month in 2027.

The reef keeps the water calm, which suits children and in-the-water frames. The hour before sunset gives soft, even light; sunrise lifts straight out of the sea.

How the Photographer Gets In

How does the photographer get in? As your guest. Tell the Ocean Coral & Turquesa front desk our name and the time of the session in advance, and we check in at the lobby like anyone meeting you for dinner. A short private session for a staying guest is very seldom charged the outside vendor fee used for weddings, and we confirm the current policy with the resort in writing. Non-guests should plan for a day pass, as our access guide explains.
