Where We Shoot

The beach in front of Las Arenas Reales. We start at the water's edge, away from loungers and pools, where the background is only sea and sky.

A second setting nearby. Public beaches along this stretch, such as Playa Marlin and Playa Ballenas, offer wide sand if you want a second setting.

The Light, Month by Month

Times for this part of the coast on the 15th of each month in 2027. Quintana Roo keeps the same clock all year.

The beach faces east: the hour before sunset gives soft, even light, and sunrise lifts straight out of the sea. For a sunset over water, the Nichupté lagoon is just across the boulevard.

Where We Meet You

We meet you at the lobby of Las Arenas Reales. If the hotel's own beach is busy, we walk to the nearest public access: beaches in Mexico are public, so no pass is needed for the sand itself. For sessions on resort grounds, the photographer comes in as your guest, with the name given to the front desk in advance.
