The coast faces east: the hour before sunset is soft and even, and sunrise lifts out of the sea. Mornings have a bonus: from roughly October through March, the sun comes up from behind Cozumel, across the water.
How the Photographer Gets In
How does the photographer get in? As your guest. Tell the La Casa de la Playa front desk our name and the time of the session in advance, and we check in at the lobby like anyone meeting you for dinner. A short private session for a staying guest is very seldom charged the outside vendor fee used for weddings, and we confirm the current policy with the resort in writing. Non-guests should plan for a day pass, as our access guide explains.
