Where the Ceremony Happens
Sunrise Beach is described as a secluded beach venue with Cancún's lighthouse in the background, listed in one place for about 30 guests: the most distinctive small ceremony setting in the Hotel Zone. The Sunrise Terrace is open-air with views over the tropical grounds.
The Infinite Club Deck, an elevated deck with panoramic ocean views listed for about 70, is our favourite for ceremonies and cocktails at the end of the day. The Coral Ballroom is the indoor, customisable option for receptions or rain. Capacities differ between listings, so confirm with the resort.

The resort sits at Punta Cancún on the calm bay side; in summer the sun sets over the bay to the west-northwest, and the elevated Infinite Club Deck keeps the warm light longest. We plan ceremonies to start about 90 minutes before sunset, so that family photos and portraits fall in the warm last light.
Bringing Your Own Photographer
Bringing your own photographer to Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach is allowed, with an access charge for outside wedding vendors that the resort sets by season and package. Because the number moves, the only figure that counts is the one in your own contract or in an email from your coordinator. Ask two questions: is it per vendor or per person, and does a higher wedding package include it? We register with the resort and send our documents ourselves.

What does it cost? Half-day coverage, up to four hours, is 1,800 to 2,800 USD. The full day, eight to ten hours with two photographers, is 3,500 to 5,500 USD, the right choice for larger weddings.
