Etéreo is a 75-suite Auberge resort in the Kanai development, opened in December 2021. Its FAQ lists the beach, the Resol lawn and indoor spaces such as Kin, the main salon with coral stone walls and a backdrop by artist Manuel Felguérez, for weddings.
Etéreo is small, design-led and art-filled, a very different feel from the big all-inclusives along this coast. For a wedding, that means beautiful interiors as well as the beach. Here is how we plan the photography.

Venue names and capacities come from the resort's wedding listings and change with renovations and packages, so your coordinator's current sheet is the final word.
Where the Ceremony Happens
The beach hosts ceremonies on soft sand facing the Caribbean. The Resol lawn is the open-air alternative for ceremonies and dinners. Inside, Kin, the main salon with coral stone walls and a backdrop by artist Manuel Felguérez, is one of the most striking indoor event spaces on the coast; the resort's FAQ also lists Ixchel, Pixán, Itzam and its terrace, Che Che and El Nicho.

Punta Maroma's long beach faces east, so the sun rises over the sea and sets behind the resort, leaving the sand in soft, even light at the end of the day. We plan ceremonies to start about 90 minutes before sunset, so that family photos and portraits fall in the warm last light.
Bringing Your Own Photographer
Bringing your own photographer to Etéreo is allowed, with an access charge for outside wedding vendors that the resort sets by season and package. Because the number moves, the only figure that counts is the one in your own contract or in an email from your coordinator. Ask two questions: is it per vendor or per person, and does a higher wedding package include it? We register with the resort and send our documents ourselves.

Coverage and Prices
Our wedding prices are public. Up to four hours of coverage costs 1,800 to 2,800 USD; a full day of eight to ten hours with a second photographer is 3,500 to 5,500 USD; photography plus a wedding film is 5,500 to 8,000 USD. The resort's access charge for outside vendors is separate and paid to the hotel. Your edited gallery arrives within one to three business days.
