A Families and Couples Photoshoot at BlueBay Grand Esmeralda: Spots, Times and Prices

Here is how we plan a photoshoot at BlueBay Grand Esmeralda, from the first frame to the last light on the sand.

The Session at a Glance

• ResortA BlueBay resort at Punta Esmeralda, north of Playa del Carmen
• Beach facesEast, onto the open Caribbean

Where We Shoot

The water's edge. Away from the pools and loungers, with only sea and sky behind you.

Gardens and terraces. Shade and green frames when the sun is high.

Sunrise or Sunset

Times for this beach on the 15th of each month in 2027.

The beach faces east: sunrise lifts out of the sea, and the hour before sunset is soft and even.

How the Photographer Gets In

How does the photographer get in? As your guest. Tell the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda front desk our name and the time of the session in advance, and we check in at the lobby like anyone meeting you for dinner. A short private session for a staying guest is very seldom charged the outside vendor fee used for weddings, and we confirm the current policy with the resort in writing. Non-guests should plan for a day pass, as our access guide explains.

Sessions in the Riviera Maya, Through Our Lens

Real IVAE Studios sessions along the Riviera Maya. They show our work in the area, not necessarily at BlueBay Grand Esmeralda.
