Chapter 02. A Studio

A studio of one mind, two languages, three coastlines.

IVAE Studios was founded in Cancún in 2023 by Vianey Díaz. a Mexican photographer with a decade behind editorial cameras and a singular conviction: that the most luxurious thing we can offer affluent travellers is not abundance, but restraint.

We do not shoot at noon. We do not photograph fifty families a week. We do not deliver galleries in “four to six weeks.” We work, instead, in the hour the light is honest. and we deliver the work in days, not weeks.

Chapter 02. A Method

The method is old-fashioned. So is the result.

Every IVAE session begins three weeks before the camera does. We learn your itinerary, your wardrobe, your in-laws’ politics. We scout the resort at the exact hour your shoot will run. we know which palm casts a shadow at 06:14 in March, which cenote turns indigo at 17:38 in October.

On the day, we direct in two languages. We move the way an art director moves on a magazine cover shoot. quietly, decisively, without ever telling you to say cheese.

Chapter 02. A Promise

The frame you remember is the frame we remember.

You will receive a private gallery within 72 hours. in most cases sooner. Each frame is hand-edited, never auto-toned, never AI-finished. You will recognise yourself in every image. So will your grandchildren.

That is the IVAE promise. written, signed, and indexed in our terms of engagement.

Chapter 03. A Light Study

Why we shoot only at the edges of the day.

Twenty-four hours of light. Less than ninety minutes of it look the way memory looks. Here is what that hour does. and why every IVAE session lives inside it.

Twenty-four hour clock with golden-hour windows highlighted and live sun position 00 06 12 18 The Golden Hour 06:14 & 17:42 / March, Cancún
Sunrise window
0min
From the moment the sky turns rose to the moment the light turns flat. We arrive thirty minutes before. We are working when most resorts are still pouring breakfast coffee.
Sunset window
0min
The shorter, more cinematic window. Long shadows, copper highlights, the Caribbean turning a colour you cannot photograph after 18:20.
Color temperature drop

From clinical noon white to the warm, candle-coloured glow of late golden hour. The frame remembers the difference; you do, too.

Chapter 05. The Atlas

Three coastlines. One studio.

We work the Yucatán Peninsula and the Baja California Sur. Each coast asks for a different camera, a different language of light, a different rhythm. Here is where we shoot.

Chapter 06. Reviews

Every frame looked like it belonged in a magazine, and Vianey made our kids feel completely at ease during golden hour on the beach. It was the calmest hour of our trip.

“Our yacht anniversary shoot in Los Cabos with IVAE was seamless from first email to final gallery. Cinematic, luxurious and incredibly professional. we already booked them again for our Riviera Maya trip.”

Priya Raghavan · Cabos anniversary

“I have shot with three of the “best” resort photographers in Cancún. None of them came close. Vianey directed us like a magazine cover. and turned a Tuesday family vacation into a small piece of our family’s archive.”
